Techniques of Effective E-Mail Marketing
E-mail marketing is common these days and will continue to expand as more people learn the value. With the expansion of e-mail marketing came the increase in spam with is universally despised. This has resulted in many systems that will keep your e-mail marketing campaigns from reaching your customers.
Eventually, E-mail marketing promises potentially high results if executed flawlessly. However, if you try to sidestep the set of rules and ethics of E-mail marketing, you could end up with whammies.
1. Sell your Product in the Subject line:
If the subject line is not catchy and relevant to your business objectives, your target audience will not bother to read your E-mails irrespective of how attractive your body content is. Make sure the subject line covers all the significant aspects of what you intend to convey without making it lengthy or heavy.
2. Keep the content short, simple, relevant and interesting:
Designing content is another challenging element of any E-mail marketing campaign. The content of the E-mail should be in simple language and brief. Yet it should contain all the relevant information of the product/service and how it can be useful to the reader. One should make sure to research properly, before sending the business mails. Try to study and understand the Demographic, Gender, and Occupational composition as well as inclinations of the Target audience. Bombarding numerous recipients with irrelevant messages can become the biggest setback in any E-mail marketing campaign.
3. Prime time are the best hours to send Business E-mail:
If you want your E-mails to be read, choose the timing hours wisely. People generally avoid reading E-mails on holidays and weekends (except certain areas like fashion garments, cosmetics, fiction, health equipment, quasi pharmaceutical preparations, matrimonial services etc.
4. Add Call To Action button in the Mail:
Call To Action is a direct way to build links between the sender and responsive customers. The addressee would have read your mail and offers. Now, by way of the next step she/he is going to respond if interested in your product/service. You can craft Call To Action panel such as providing with 'sign up', 'click here to buy this product', 'click to know more', so as to swiftly lead the interested prospective client to the appropriate destination. However, it is important to also know that people tend to, sometimes, regard such mails with "click here to know more" buttons as attempts to hack into their computers. Therefore, your email content should clearly bring out your ID details like the brick and mortar address, landline and mobile numbers and names of the senders of the mail. This will also help in ascertaining how many people are actually interested in your services. Call to Action can be a great tool if used judiciously but only if your data back end and response mechanisms are fully in place. If the response mechanism is weak or lacking the entire effort can go waste.
5. Avoid Spamming Tactics:
Say NO to the clever tricks of E-mail marketing, because Google is a shrewd watchdog of black-hat SEO. Use of certain words like 'FREE' '50% OFF', 'CLAIMS' 'HURRY UP', 'ACT NOW' are deemed to be spam by Google's filter. Adding spam characters will reduce your E-mail marketing plans and efforts into merely a waste of time, money and man-power.
To make e-mail marketing simpler you can use an auto-responder. An auto-responder allows you to pre-program messages to be sent to your e-mail marketing list.
There are popular Direct Mail Marketing agencies like Aweber Communications, Vertical Response, Quantnum Digital, Elite E-Marketing and Constant Contact.
These might help you in your online marketing business and will lead you to business success.
